PAROSTEC SUPPORTS THE CLEAN BLUE PAROS MOVEMENT

As part of the company’s ESG activities for 2022, PAROSTEC supported Clean Blue’s project, specifically the Clean Blue Paros action to protect the island from plastics. Paros is a station for PAROSTEC, as it started its activity there several years ago and the company’s headquarters are still situated there.

Clean Blue is supporting the Greek island, Paros, to become the first single-use plastic waste-free island in the Mediterranean and a global pioneer in the journey towards a plastic-free ocean. Clean Blue Paros is a living, breathing demonstration of system change in action. Clean Blue local team is working with the government, businesses, community groups and individuals to drive policy, invest in the circular economy and create a cultural shift in how the island uses and disposes of plastic. As a lighthouse project, Clean Blue Paros is already inspiring and supporting other island communities – in Greece and around the world – to chart a course to healthy seas.
