The wonderful villa of an architect is on the east side of Antiparos, halfway between the sea and the hills. The villa`s concept imitates the typology of a Greek village, with ten detached volumes organised around a large pool. Outdoor sitting and dining areas are covered with impressive concrete pergolas that connect some of the volumes, creating a continuous flow between indoor and outdoor spaces. This highly demanding project posed several construction challenges, including the exposed concrete elements and the local stonework cladding. The result is a truly contemporary house with a strong architectural character.
